This is one part of a larger relief effort that happened in Japan,with the specific purpose of repairing, and rebuilding Japan after the devastation of the March 2011 earthquake, and successive tsunami disasters.

For this portion of the relief effort, time was volunteered with the restoration and repair of photographs that have varying degrees of damage, coming from water, age, and other varieties of physical and elemental damage. This is one manner in which we've given back to the world.

They have continued to act in a similar capacity in the wake of disasters since then, more recently with Hurricane Sandy and in Nepal, with both photo restoration, as well as accepting donations for charity and disaster relief. This has been a very worthy cause!
